How Can Sciatic Pain In The Right Leg Be Treated?

My pain starts in the rt lower glut. And travels down the back of my upper leg,then continues to the inside and the upper leg to the anterior and runs to my toes. I am taking Tylenol 1000mg between Indocin 50mg am and pm. The am is also taken with 10mg of Flexoril. I injured myself doing yard work and climbing a ladder picking peaches. I am on a scale of pain 8-9 most of the time. I am massaging the area 3-4 times daily. I am 72 and on a fixed income. I do not want to go thru a bunch of tests to confirm sciatica, which I do believe this is the diagnosis. I am a nurse who has worked urgent care for many years. Can you give me advise on what to do for comfort and calm this nerve?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Tramadol containing painkiller with Paracetamol here it comes by name of Diagesic extra or Diagesic P it would be relieved but apart from this one tablet once in night and try to sleep on a flat surface not on mattress but I'm a hard flat surface for few week and would be relieved gradually.
