How Can Sciatic Pain Be Treated?
I have just started with Sciatica in the past couple of weeks. I will be 70 next month; I am active and still work half time as a service coordinator. I see a pain mgmt. doc every 3 months for spondolethiasis and am on Tramadol 50mg. TID , Cymbalta 60 mg, and in the past 6 months, Gabapentin 100-200 HS to help with nerve pain and sleep. This past week I have had to go to 200 mg HS to stay asleep. My other med besides some supplements, ie, is Triamterene 37.5 mg daily. I was reading some online info on Sciatica and saw that Vitamin B-12 might be helpful along with some exercises which I will add to my general PT exercises for my back. What do you think ? I see my pain doc on January 10, but we are leaving on vacation Dec 27 and not coming back until Jan 6--Puerto Vallerta. Pain is irritating but not incapacitating--looking for a stopgap for a month or 2. thanks Barb Paul YYYY@YYYY
