How Can Ringworm Infection Be Treated?

Currently dealing with ringworm cause by a kitten. Kitten being treated. I tried tea tree oil...could not stand the smell. Then switched to lavender oil...which was better...but neither seemed to be making it fade. So today I started with clotrimazole antifungal cream over the counter 1% . How long should I use...when do I go to doctor for perhaps oral meds?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The topical antifungal may work for you. Fungal infections can take long to respond to treatment with anti fungal medications.

It can take 2 to 3 weeks for healing to occur with persistent use , you would need to use the clotrimazole for this period of time.

If there is any worsening then you can see your doctor for the oral anti fungal medication.

I hope this helps
