How Can Recurrent Seizures And Severe Fatigue Be Treated?

I was on oxtellar xr for partial seizers. It had been working well. I changed insurance January 1st and they will no longer pay for my xr meds. I went back to taking the oxtellar 600mg twice daily but was having trouble working and caring for my family and had to stop taking it. My doctor has appealed this several times. I started having seizures again and I am off of work and my dr has me on topomax. I have been extremely tired and aching today and don t feel like moving. Should I go back to the dr or give it a while. I am extremely fatigued. I am normally a very active person thank you

Hi,

Topamax may cause weakness or drowsiness or dizziness.

Weakness may also due to viral fever or systemic illness or anemia etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your treating doctor he may stop the Topamax and treat you with the alternate drug (Levetiracetam, Valproate or Carbamazepine.)

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
