My grandson,6 yrs old, has hives. We have taken him the last two nights to er. He is given prednisone and Benedetto as prescribed. This is the 3rd night and again has hives when he is sleeping. These hives turn into welts. What can we do?WE HAhave been careful of what he eats or touches. What can we do

* As he is already on steroid and anti histamine medications, I suggest additional precautions as follows for better recovery.
- Allow him plenty of liquids.
- Balanced nutritious diet to combat underlying allergy.
- Bath in tub filled with lukewarm water added epsom salt and lavender oil daily.
- Keep the affected areas clean, allow to wear loose, clean, cotton clothes.
- Avoid sun exposure.
-Be in regular follow up with your skin specialist.
