How Can Pregnancy Be Confirmed?

Hi!. I am 30 years old and has been taking metformin and folic acid as prescribed by my OB-gyne. I experienced what they call ectopic pregnancy last july when i was in my 7 weeks already but during TVS nothing was found in my uterus and my left fallopian has been hurting bad and swelling during the ultrasound.i was given Methotrexate shot once and my cycle continued to be normal for only 2 months. Last October i missed my period and so 10days after which was yesterday i took a pregnancy test, it turned a faint positive result when i took it in the morning after breakfast and taking folic acid. But in the afternoon i had 2 test again and both appeared negative. This morning right after waking up i also took another test and it s negative. I am confused as to wether i am really pregnant now or not. Pls help..

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Sometime pregnancy test will give false positive result.
Your faint line could be due to chemical pregnancy, diluted urine.
I would suggest to go for quantitative blood HCG level test to confirm the pregnancy by consulting the gynecologist.
It is very accurate compare to urine pregnancy test and detect pregnancy earlier than urine pregnancy test.
USG scan will give visual confirmation of pregnancy at 4-5 week.
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and take proepr rest.
