How Can Plantar Fasciitis Be Treated?

I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and was prescribed methylprednisolone 4 mg. I was supposed to take entire 6 day dose then start meloxicam 15 mg. I cannot take prednisone because it gives me insomnia. Is it safe to start anti inflammatory meds now?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Plantar Fasciitis requires:
1. Plantar fascia stretching exercises. These exercises will gradually loosen tight fascia. they should be done gently and at least twice a day. Three most effective of these physiotherapy exercises can easily be obtained in the internet. I could in detail explain to you the three exercises if I could meet you in person. If possible a Podiatric Surgeon can explain these to you.
2. Very important along with the above is the use of soft pressure distributing insoles in the foot wear with 5 millimeter medial arch support. Materials like E.V.A, plastazote, Silicon, Poron are good.
