How Can Phimosis Be Treated?

Hi, let me brief you about the situation, i have tight foreskin on my penis, i cannot retract the foreskin all the way when i have an erection. I can pull the foreskin back when my penis is not erect. I believe a small part of the foreskin has to be attached at the bottom of the penis so i don t know if that attachment is stopping me to retract the skin all the way. But any way i managed to visit government hospital the doctor advised me to use t-bact ointment 3 times a day for a 7 days! , But no use ,And after that he said come to me if it doesn t work in 7 days then we will have to do surgery. But i am afraid to do surgery, and i don t know why what to do? So please someone help me what to do!, Is there a solution without surgery or surgery is good to do? Thanks in advance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is a very minor surgery. Surgery is the only way to treat your condition, so you need not worry much as there is no side effect of the surgery.

Within a day you will be discharged, and within a couple of days, you can be back to your routine work. It is called circumcision surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sanjay Kini
