Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As you already given medications for 1 week, but didn't help you much. I'd suggest you to do stool routine and culture, complete blood count after consultation with pediatrician. He may require IV rehydration therapy and antibiotics. Keep him hydrated. maintain proper hygiene. Give soft diet.

Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I m concerned about myself (25yrs, 165cm, 60kg) and my boyfriend (28yrs, 190cm, 90kg) both having diarrhea for 4 weeks. We are in Asia and from Australia. I am also 7 weeks pregnant. I saw a doctor who simply said it was hormones. However I find it hard to believe diarrhea for 4 weeks, everyday, even if I eat crackers, no matter what diarrhea. Can you please help. Thank you
