How Can Periods Be Postponed?

My piread date 23 . Last 3 months I get regular . But this month I did not get so I use mensovit plus this Friday 28 how many days it taken to get piread back pls ans me doctor this month I have some Pooja in home that's y I taken​ this tablet . What can I do doctor.

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. This is a common demand in general practice to postpone menses, to avoid it during religious functions or travelling and for that either take:

- tablet regesterone [norethisterone] 5 mg [1 twice daily] or
- Tablet Orgametrol [lynesterenol] 5 mg [2 at bed time]

PS. start the tablets at least 3 days before the menses, and continue as long as postponement is desired, but generally not more than 10 to 15 days and talk to your doctor about the pros and cons of such medication, remembering to enquire fully about any possible side effects.
