How Can Penis Bleeding During Intercourse Be Treated?

me and my husband had intercourse and suddenly got to know that my husband s penis was bleeding. it was great concern and shock for we have never come across this kind of thing. we thought it might be a cut or soo and will heal up soon. after 4-5 days we again tried and this time also it bleeded and became a matter of concern. we were doing it without any condom both the times. then he just followed certain possible steps that could heal it up like cleaning properly, avoiding any maturbate or intercourse, avoiding pulling the foreskin. but now its been 1month and it still pains him alot. we searched along and came across a problem called frenulum breve . kindly guide what all could be done now..? what oitment should be used to heal it and other cure measures. i m badly worried for him. and don t want the surgery procedure to be done. Kindly tell what all steps to be followed now.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Bleeding from penis is due to minor cuts caused on frenulum (thin skin on penis tip) during intercourse. It won't cause any damage.

This problem can be prevented by simple surgical correction called circumcision in which foreskin of penis is removed. It is a simple day care procedure.

For more suggestions, please consult a general surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siddartha
