How Can Panic Attacks After Quitting Smoking Be Treated?
hi my husband quit smoking after 50 years and started having panic attacks (could not stay in the house thought he was going to vomit so went running outside all the time, dizzy) so I had some hydroxyzine tablets for a rash I had 2 years ago and he seems to be better... is this a solution for this and does he need a prescription to get more or can we order them online and should he quit taking them after 30 days?
Hydroxyzine has been used to treat anxiety or panic episodes. It tends to work quickly. Like some other anti-anxiety medications example Valium or Lorazepam- it is not habit forming, meaning he will not become addicted to it. He can use it as he needs to, though he can try to learn relaxation techniques as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
