How Can Painful Shingles Be Treated?

72 years old, I had shingles 12 years ago, very painful, was in bed for 4 months until it eased up, but pain, in different degrees is always there. It s returned full force, 5 months & very painful, laying down helps a lot. Have no rash, it s under my left breast Plus have a lot of gas pain, won t come out & backs up into my Shingles. Taking Gabapentin 300mg 3times/day with just minor relief. DEPREESED AND AT WITS END!

pain is due to effects of nerve end like herpes analgesic like hyfenac p caladryllotion to be applyedativiral antibiotic. it last for 3 to 5 weeks.depression is psychological effect can take counseling from clinical psychologist.
