How Can Painful Osteoarthritis Be Treated?

My mom has an osteoarthritis pain.she is suffering from this disease .so what can she do to relieve from this pain.It starts to happen whenever she is standing,walking or working.So is it harmful for her to work by stamding for 6 hours?

Yes, prolonged standing can worsen osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is reduced joint space due to reduction in synovial fluid. Physiotherapy, weight reduction, calcium and vitamin d 3 supplements are conservative treatment of osteoarthritis. If conservative treatment is failed then joint replacement is the only option. So better to consult orthopedic doctor and discuss about need of joint replacement surgery.
