The menstrual cycle will be different for different women-the amount of bleeding and then number of days will all be different. The most important thing to keep an eye on is that your menstrual cycle is regular. If your cycle is always 24 days, then that is good. For some women the amount of bleeding can be up to 7 days with lots of bleeding whereas with other women it may just last just 2 days with very less bleeding. As long as its your "normal" then there is nothing for you to worry about. For painful cramps you can take Paracetamol or any other anti inflammatory drug. A water bag will also help. If you still feel like the pain is a lot and you still have concerns about menstrual cycle, then you should probably visit a OBGYN. I hope I have answered your question. Please let know if you have any further questions.
