How Can Painful And Itchy Blisters Behind The Knees Be Treated?
Woke up week ago with a cluster of what appears to be bites on the back of my right knee and on my butt. I have no fever or nausea. Yesterday I noticed on the back of leg it has some tiny clear blisters forming. Not much itching, however, is very sore and hurts to sit. Been keeping clean with soap and water, cortisone cream and Neosporin and ice several times a day. Will the blisters pop and what should I use?
As per your query you have symptoms of painful and itchy blisters behind the knees which seems to be due to infection of hair follicles leading to folliculitis. It could be heated rashes as well.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you apply betadine over the area and clean that area properly with an antimicrobial agent. Avoid itching and pricking rashes. Wear loose cotton trousers and avoid application of any hard cosmetics over that. Use of corticosteroid ointment is helpful. Take antibiotics orally to prevent further infection. Your symptoms will start resolving in 3-5 days. If it keeps on persisting visit dermatologist once and starts treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
