How Can Pain Due To Deformed Subclavian Arteries Be Treated?

I have subclavian arteries (sp?) steal, my sub aritery is deformed and does not all ways give me enough blood or O2 to my right corodid , I m sorry, I can t spell right now. I ve also have had 2 mini strokes on right side. I ve been going threw some #8 to 10 pain, but my doctor will not prescribe anything for it. Just told me to go to E.R. I don t want to get stuck anymore with needles!!!! It s been a year sense I ve been to E.R. I just need to know best o.t.c. pain relief, anything?

Hi,

Noted the history and understood your concerns. First of all you have to get a confirmed diagnosis by color doppler and/or MRI Angiography study; Color doppler of the affected limb and other studies as indicated.

This is best done under the guidance of a cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon so that the reports can be correlated to the clinical evaluation and further management be done properly. Taking painkillers does not help to alleviate the disease.
