How Can Pain And Swelling On The Tongue Be Treated?
i have had a bad cough and flu like ,no fever now. but my tongue is bright red,swollen, I can not eat without pain. I drink watered down Boost drink and water. Is there anything I might have at home that would help with the pain?I am 83 ,in good health but had to take antibiotic for 4 months to heel a second replacement surgery on left knee.
As per your complain you have problem of lesion at tongue area and painful.
Depapilation lead to removal of papila of tongue cause burning sensation at tongue area. Fungal infection of Candida lead to painful tongue. Acid reflux sometime cause depapilation of tongue. Vitamin b deficincey also cause burning sensation. Consult a dentist or oral medicine specialist for further diagnosis. Oral examination of tongue give exact idea about problems.
