How Can Pain And Swelling In The Legs Be Treated?

I was diagnosed with level 1 MCL sprain 3.5 weeks ago. I can bike without pain and walk up to a mile with pain. I do get some swelling from the exercise and have continued to ice it. I think i have a small tear in my minuscus (had surgery for tear on my other knee 5 years ago). I am looking for a long term solution so I can get back to running and playing tennis. What about the Flexogenix therapy I have seen advertized in my paper? Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Flexogenic therapy is newer treatment option for knee joint pain. It is also FDA approved. So you can definitely opt for this therapy. It is month long treatment comprising intra articular injection, physiotherapy. Give this treatment a try under supervision. If not improving then surgical correction is needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
