How Can Osteoarthritis And Peripheral Neuropathy Be Treated?

I suffer from osteoarthritis and have nerve pain in my left foot, left knee and right knee and hands. I take tramadol 12hr 100mg pill once a day, but it doesn t always help. I just finished getting my 4th series Supartz shot last week in my left knee. These shots do help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.

You say to suffer of osteoarthritis. Usually, when joints are inflamed, the inflammation pressure will get in touch with the nearby nerves too.

However, neurological and xray studies should be run in order to evaluate local changes and get appropriate treatment.

Pregabalin suggested to start for nerve pain along with physiotherapy.

Hope this helps.
