How Can Opiate Induced Constipation Be Treated?

I have opiate induced constipation from severe non-cancer pain. Having had poor results with Movantic and Amatiza with MIrilax, I would like some information about lactulose. I use 75 ug Fentanyl patch and 15 mg oxycodone for breakthrough. YYYY@YYYY .

Hi,

For the symptom of constipation what you are experiencing, you need to modify your diet by consuming soft easily digestible food.

Along with that you can take Isapgol husk powder mixed with water for immediate consumption twice daily. This should help you to overcome the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
