How Can One Manage Mildly Raised Echotexture Of Both Kidneys In A Hypertensive And Hyperthyroid Patient?

Hi, My USG report states mildly raised echo texture of both kidneys with maintained corticomedullary differentiation. Suggest: Correlation with renal function tests. I am male aged 59 years taking Blood Pressure Medicine Irbe-sartan 225 mg/day; also detected with hyper thyroidsm taking Neo Mercazole 10 mg/day. My renal tests are as follows: 1. Serum Creatinine - 1.47 (normal Male - 0.5 - 1.4) 2. S. Urea - 29 (normal range Male - 15 - 55) 3. S. Uric Acid - 5.2 (normal range Male - 1.5 - 7.0) 4. S. Calcium - 10.4 (normal range - 8.7 - 11.0) 5. Sodium electrolytes - 144 (normal - 136 - 144) 6. Potassium electrolytes - 4.96 (normal - 3.5 - 5.0) 7. Chloride electrolytes - 104 (normal - 98 - 108) Kindly suggest what care should I take.

hi..welcome to HealthcareMagic , ..everything in renal function tests is ok .just keep your blood pressure under control .keep it below 140/90 mm Hg .also keep your sugar level within normal limits ..restrict salt intake .repeat your scan and lab tests after 3 months ..at present just relax .with regards dr varinder joshi
