General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, the issue is suggestive of underlying inflammation with possible abscess formation giving redness and warmth to touch. The numbness is due to secondary compression effects. I would strongly recommend to immediately consult your PCP for further management rather than doing home remedies.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
