Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have lymphadenitis in its later stages behind my ear, I ve been prescribed antibiotics which have run out two weeks ago and have been using warm compresses and most of the swelling has left, would a hydrocolloid bandage be beneficial and remove the left over pus inside and reduce swelling? Thank you

How Can Lymphadenitis Be Treated?
Hello, As you have taken antibiotics and it has subsided a lot. I feel no need for it as the remaining part will subside in one week. You can use it to localise the swelling but it will create a discolouration that will take time to heal. So let it heal naturally. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr SOHEEL HUSSAIN ZARGAR, Dentist
