Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Two years ago I had a spiral fracture of my tib and a straight fracture on my fib. Had surgery the following day by inserting a metal rod in my leg (left) with two screws by my knee and two by my ankle. One year later the screws were bother me so I had them removed with no problems. Once the swelling in my leg went down I noticed I started getting cramps in my foot, also left. Even now with the screw removed I still get the craps. At times the only way to get rid of the cramps is to stand up and apply pressure to my foot. The cramps are always near the arch of my foot on the bottom. Any idea what could cause them and is there any treatment?
