Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am on Diciofenac Pot tabs 50 mg. I really started having good results but have gone back to work and the other leg is starting to have really bad pain. I stand on my feet for hours and I am wondering if I am irrutaing the other leg. Should I increase the dose to 2 pills a day or what. Have had to start back on Tynela and 1/2 to 1 pain killer again.
First of all, the cause of your leg pain has to be determined. As you have mentioned that you stand on your feet for hours, pain may be related to varicose vein/venous claudication. Alternatively it could be due to arterial ischaemia (peripheral arterial disease/PAD). For this, you need a clinical examination.
For symptomatic relief of pain, paracetamol (Tylenol) and or Tramadol would be better as long-term NSAID (diclofenac) can damage kidneys.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Tushar Kanti Biswas,
