How Can Itching And Burning Sensation On The Skin Be Treated?
Hi , I am a 65 year old homeless man who contracted herpes 20 years ago. I have recently begun having outbreaks of what I think might be herpes related symptoms. The symptoms are fist sized on my inner thigh, which ooze a clear ,sticky liquid.I apply a compress to the area and try to get all the liquid out. It itches and burns..very uncomfortable. I live in a tent on a beach . I am wondering if I should be washing all my bedding. I take at least 2 showers a day.I have a very good diet and am not stressed most of the time ..What do you think ? Any suggestions ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. You may be suffering from tinea cruris infection or herpes zoster. You can wash two times apply Clotrimazole cream. Use tablet Acyclovir. If symptoms not improved or developed any reaction to above drug please consult your physician immediately. He will examine and treat you accordingly. Take care.
