How Can Irregular Periods With Unusual Bleeding Be Treated?

Hi, I've never had a regular period, but last week had bled for about 3 days. For 2 days there was nothing, but for the last 2 days I started again. The weird thing is that it's not like a normal period. It's bright red blood on the toilet paper, but none in the water and none on the pad. It only happens when I wipe. Sometimes it's quite a bit. I'm 25 and maybe get my period once every 6-12 months, if that. When I do, it usually turns the water pink and blood is on the pads but this is different. What could it be?
