Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have recently had my wisdom teeth taken out and then gotten osteomyelitis which is a bone infection in the jaw from there I had a pick line put in I formed a blood clot in my right arm so they took the pick line out and put me on blood thinners they recently have inserted another pic line in my left arm I accidentally got the pill bottles of pain medication mixed up and I took one of my dogs vetprofen 100mg. Am I going to be OK
Regarding your health concern, just taking one dose of Vetprofen may not cause harm but it is important that you let your physician know of the incident. Vetprofen like you said is a pain killer like Tylenol used for animals. But mechanism of action of the drug is different. It may effect our blood clotting system-which is of concern for you right now. It might be good to get some blood work done.
I hope I have answered your question. Please let me know if you have any further concerns.
