Hello,

I can also understand that you want to become more fit and lose extra kilos as soon as possible.

But you are not advised to take thyroid supplements as they may contain actual thyroid hormone and may also contain iodine.

We need only 150 mcg of iodine per day in our diet but ingesting excess iodine can cause health problems.

The bottom line is - Do not take thyroid supplements. If you suspect that you have a thyroid condition, head to your doctor’s office instead of the vitamin or natural-foods store.

Getting the right diagnosis and treatment is the key to combating weight gain, exhaustion, and brain fog.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
