How Can Hyperparathyroidism Be Treated?

I have been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism, my blood calcium is testing on a scale of 10.6- 11.7 I have had this condition for 3 + yrs. I have did some research on my own and everything I can find is that I have a tumor on one or more of the parathyroid glands and even if my blood calcium goes down that the tumor will stay causing intermittent bouts with the problem.
