How Can Hydrocele Be Treated?

Hello Doc, I am 23 yrs old student pursuing my MSC. I have hydrocele from past 3.5 years.(From march 2013) Its not that big as i have seen in google pictures, but it certainly is of the size small to medium. I want to join the Indian armed forces and have a interview scheduled in Jan 2017. I am able to everything what a normal person does. Should i get it treated or leave it alone, as i don t want it be a cause of my rejection? Thank you Suresh

Normally if hydrocele is not causing any problem/symptom then it can be left untreated. But it can be a reason for rejection in army recruitment. You can get it surgically corrected. It is a small operation. In one week, wound will heal. My advice is to get is surgically corrected to avoid future rejection in army recruitment. In army recruitment, testicle examination is done.
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
Thanks
