Hi, my 3 yrs old daughter is having fever in range 100-102 since last 6 days. Day 1 evening it went upto 104.5 when her body was stiff for couple of minutes. We got checked malaria and typhoid both negative. Her urine test says 12-14 pus cells and Epithelial cells 3-4. Is this too bad? What should be best antibiotic for this? Ofloxocin or azithromycin. Her fever is in control with crocin/meftal syrup, but we have to give after 6 hrs
Hi, Sorry for your daughter, Nice she is already diagnosed as patient of Urinary tract infection. Through urine culture is the better way to choose the proper antibiotic, Your child already suffering for 6 days, urine culture need time, so, better you start a course of antibiotic. In my practice i use , syrup.Cefixime 120mg x two times x 5days, azithromycin also can be a option . °Give her adequate water
wishing for her good health
