Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
First of all total cholesterol level of 324 is very high & only dietary or lifestyle changes may not be enough to bring this to normal. The reason for high cholesterol seems to be genetic & not diet or work out related according to your symptoms.
I would suggest you to take cholesterol reduction medicines or statins such as lovastatin or crestor which ever suits you the most. Following life style or dietary changes can also be done :-
1. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are naturally low in fat, but they are also the best source of fiber, vitamins and minerals for your body
2 Use healthier cooking methods. Baking, broiling and roasting are the healthiest ways to prepare meat, poultry and other foods
3. Eat more fish. Fish are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids which is helpful in reduction of cholesterol
4. Increase intake of fibers in diet by increasing whole grains, oats, freah vegetables & fruits in diet.
5. Regular exercise like walking or cycling should be done for minimum half an hour a day.

Refer to your physician
Hope this information helps
