How Can High Blood Sugar Levels Be Treated?

Hello, I am a 37 year old male. recently my blood sugar (fasting)has gone up to around 170-180.
I have been taking neodipar 500mg, with three meals a day, and I have seen a local doctor, about this problem, who has advised me amaryl 2 mg before breakfast and lantus 16 units. I have been using this new medication for 2 weeks, but the fasting blood sugar level is still the same. Please advise.

Dear sir i can understand your concern
i am very sorry about your condition.
the change of medication is advised by your doctor is good and i am not able to understand why you are failing to respond to standard therapy.
to suggest you further course of action i need to know some blood reports like
1.Hba1c
2.your duration of diabetes?
3.Are you following any diet plan or not?
4.what is your daily exercise schedule?
if your are not following a diet plan and exercise i suggest you to start doing and check your sugars after 2 weeks.
Regards
