General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi. Sorry to hear about your problem.
Hemorrhoids are generally classified in 4 grades. Treatment plan differs according to the grading. Upto grade 2 ( some thing comes out of anus and goes back spontaneously after daefecation), treatment options include dietry modifications, injecting a sclerosing agent at the base of hemorrhoid or it can be treated with band ligation. In grade 3 or 4 ( some thing comes out and you may need to push it back manually or it does not return back at all), the treatment option is surgical one (hemorhoidectomy) . So my advice at the moment is to visit a sugeon and get a treatment most suitable and acceptable to you according to the grade of you hemorrhoids . Also you may need to get treatment for any causative factor of hemorrhoids like chronic cough, constipation or any condition that increases intra-abdominal pressure like heavy weight lifting. Wishing you best of health. Regards
