How Can Genital Warts Be Treated?

I was told by one dr. That i have genital warts. First dr. Gave me daktakort only then 3weeks later went to a different dr. For 2nd opinion and told me that it is genital warts already and told me to treat it thru cauterize. Is there any other treatment aside from cauterize? How much it will cost here in the Philippines? Is there any topical available here in the Philippines? Otc? If not treated what will happen to me? Thank you!

Genital warts are a sexually transmitted disease that is transmitted by direct contact. It is caused by the Human Papilloma virus, which is a DNA virus. There is no cure--once you have the virus in the skin, we have no way to rid the skin of the virus.
There are many treatments available, including scissor excision, cryosurgery (freezing with liquid nitrogen), podophylin (topically applied), imiquimod (a topical medication), and electrocautery. Over-the-counter wart medications are not recommended.
Some strains of this virus can cause cervical cancer in women and squamous cell carcinoma in both men and women.
