How Can Fungal Infection On The Toe Nail Be Treated?
I have toe nail fungus an it s spread to my legs . The skin dr. Gave me jublia to put on my toenail but it s not working .I been soaking my feet in apple cider vinegar and bakesoda. It s not working. My liver emymes are high from jublia so I can t take a oral tablet to kill off the infection. What do I do? The Dr s here don t know what to do.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The most common causes of fungal nail infections are:
+Often regular cuts in and around your nails, some cuts are too small to even be seen.
+Keeping the region wet or moist very often.
+Often seen in warm or cold conditions (climate or temperature related).
Treatment for fungal nail infections is oral tablets like Terbinafine and Itraconazole which should be taken for a long duration (6-12 weeks).
The rate of improvement might be good in your younger brother, but might be questionable in your mother as the treatment is a little more difficult in the elderly, especially individuals above the age of 65 years.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
