How Can Frequent Urination Be Treated?

Hi, I m suffering with overactive bladder. I use the bathroom atleast twice in an hour. My urge increases even with little bit of cold (so worse that even the air from the fan makes the urge to urinate stronger) because of this I am unable to lead a normal life. Can someone help me with this? I recently got urine C/S test done twice. First report said significant pseudomonas species. Second report said insignificant bacteruria with polymicrobial growth. Can you please comment? C/S vaginal discharge: What does few inflammatory cells, few epithelial cells and normal vaginal flora seen in vaginal swab sample type? Does it mean any infection? If yes, how severe is it? Is there a definite cure for the infection? I really appreciate you taking time to answer my question in advance. Thank you!!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since the UTI is caused by Pseudomonas the treatment is with aminoglycosides antibiotics such as gentamicin or tobramycin.
You also need to use intravaginal suppositories such polyginax.
Stay a week without treatment and then repeat urine sample.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
