How Can Fever And Chills Be Treated?

today is my 6th day having a fever and frequent shivering condition,on the 4th day I ve asked my PCP to come and see him,but as he was very busy , I got a chance to see his Assistant only.The assistant told me I should wait and see for another 1 to 2 days,I just have the shivering and constant fever of 101 F mostly in the evenings,can you give me some good advice.

Fever and chills may be due to malaria or enteric fevers or UTI or pneumonia or viral fever etc. Need to be investigated and treated accure. Tablet. paracetamol thrice a day for five according to the body weight. use tepid sponging, drink plenty of oral fluids , if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
