How Can Fever And Body Chills Be Treated?

My 21 year old son threw up about an hour ago and now has chills. My thermometer battery is low, so I m not sure his temp is correct. He is always below normal and now it reads 97.4. I don t think he has a fever ow. He was feeling fine during the evening. I had a generic zofran tablet and gave him that. I was looking at what would help his chills. I covered him with another blanket and put a heating pad around his feet. Thank you .
