How Can Fever And Abdominal Pain Be Treated?

My daughter has had a fever on and off for the last 8 days. She has also had tummy pains and gas that has accompanied it. I ve called the doctors almost every day and we ve seen them twice. They did a tummy exam by pressing on pressure points to see if there is pain but there is none. It s very off and on and accompanied by gas.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Blood investigations and fever work up should be necessary to find the cause of infective etiology.

If it's negative trhen it is likely to be the case of gastroenteritis. In most cases, there is no fever.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
