How Can Fever Along With Severe Fatigue And Vomiting Be Treated?

My husband has a fever of 101.4, he s diabetic, his glucose is 156, he s extremely weak, can t walk on his own, is vomiting, and this is the second time in less than a month that this has happened. The first time it happened I took him to VA Emergency and it was a respritory infection. They prescribed an antibiotic and sent him home. HELP

Hello,

Because your husband has diabetes his immune system might not be working as it should and it might make him more vulnerable to infections. It would be good for him to see a doctor and rule out important infection.
He needs a thorough physical examination to find out the cause of the fever and have the proper treatment. Also due to diabetes and vomiting, he is at risk of dehydration so having plenty of fluids and oral rehydration solutions is very important to substitute both lost fluids and electrolytes.
