How Can Excessive Anger And Stress Be Treated?

Hi there, I find myself always getting angry, whether I am driving ( road rage) or dealing with my children after work, it seems, like I am always rushing and I seem to be very stressed that I get angry and feel like my blood pressure is very high. Today I gave blood at work and my blood pressure was low (110/68) , like every time I get it checked. I am tired of feeling stressed and anxiety for every little thing. It has hurt my relationship with my daughter because it seems everyday I just snap and get angry. Can I have be suffering from anxiety or just be stressed out. I am not doing any extra activities just going to work and dropping off kids at school. I do have insurance ( Harvard Pilgrim/UHC) I want to try something that maybe can help, I have dealt with this too long..

Hello, I understand your concern over the problem you are facing. and it's good that you chose to fight it and come out openly to talk about it. As this is the best thing one should do and you have successfully took a step by coming here.
First of all, due to work load it's totally fine to feel little stressed. But if you will not deal with it properly on time then things might get little out of your control or I can say it becomes more difficult to get back to what you expect yourself to be in that is peaceful status. for your anxiety and stress there are many things responsible that are happening around you. you need to start giving it a thoughtful attempt to see what are the reasons that are making these changes. If it's not easy to do it on your own, talk to your friends or the person whom you are close with. Let them know what is bothering you. Or another better option is talking to a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, few counselling sessions will be very helpful. They can guide you and you will learn to deal effectively with these,If there is need of some medications then your doctor will advise you jus in case he or she feels that can be given. But first you need to start giving your mental health as much as importance that you give to physical health.
There are few things you can try. Make time for yourself from your daily routine. Start doing stuff that brings joy to you. Do what you love to do and something that makes you forget about stressful things. spend time with family more like in weekends and try to put yourself in front of them in a better way.Ignore and avoid thinngs that bring stress to you.
Doing daily exercise and meditation helps a lot. Start slowly, you might not feel very good in the beginning but once you make it a habit then you can observe the changes by yourself. This will help along with the therapy.
It might take time but worth giving a shot, rather than feeling worse every single day.Hope this helps. If you have any queries feel free to contact.Stay healthy.
