How Can Elevated Blood Pressure Levels Be Treated?

My blood pressure on a self-check monitor is 185/75. It has been creeping up for 5 weeks. It is down in the morning after sleep then increases throughout the day. I am concerned about the pressure right now. I have an appointment with my doctor in the morning at 7:15 AM. I am on Lisinopril. Should I do something prior to the morning visit?
