Hi,

Well, it can be an ear infection leading to the symptoms that you are facing. Also there can be injury to the ear canal while removing wax leading to inflammation and pain. So in case if pain is severe you can either consult an Emergency room or an ENT physician and get checked. For now you can put Otogesic ear drops. Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to reduce pain. Also do not try to put anything inside the ear to avoid further irritation.

You should avoid exposure to loud sounds, do not pick your ears deep and also do not pick them again and again, avoid swimming and diving. You should also keep ears clean and dry, do not use headphones and loud sounds.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
