How Can Dizziness, Nausea And Balance Issues Be Dealt With?
My wife has been waking up dizzy, nauseous, and off balanced the last two days. She also feels pressure in her head and just started her period.. Yesterday it went away after a few hours. She doesn t have a appointment until tomorrow but I wanted to know if I should bring her somewhere sooner?
There are many possible causes of the symptoms. The most common condition that you can find out are- 1. Diabetes 2. Blood pressure 3. Positional vertigo 4. Stroke.
The evaluation of the conditions mentioned need a good examination. It would be unethical to suggest test without examination. So I would suggest that you wait for the appointment. If you can meet up with a neurological specialist it may be of interest to you.
There is a possibility that the symptoms that you have mentioned are possibly due to a stroke. A stroke has to be evaluated by a neurologist urgently. So, if possible, meet one as soon as possible.
There are other possible causes of the symptoms. But they are not urgent. And can be evaluated later.
Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
