Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Vital information needed here are age of baby, food pattern, duration of ailments, and other symptoms like vomiting, fever, or any weight alterations.

Crying before urination needs clinical evaluation for the presence of phimosis (excess foreskin obstructing the external meatus opening).

Potty problem is in relation to gut motility due to many various reasons.

Till you provide further details I can guide as:
• Give enough liquids by mouth
• Fiber content in diets appreciable
• Check that he does not put toys like stuff in the mouth when playing
• Maintain oral hygiene
• Check that he is chewing food properly
• Avoid ice creams, biscuits, cookies, and chocolates

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
