How Can Difficulty In Breathing Due To Bone Growth In The Nose Be Treated?

Hello, I am a 27 years old female. Before around 15 years, the bones in my nose started to grow abnormlly. I consulted ENT specialist and he told me that this can be cured by surgery, but it should be done after 5 years, as that was growing age, and the bone may grow again. I don t feel much problems due to this, but sometimes breathing problems, especially in winters. Also, my nose shape has been bad due to this. Should I go for surgery? Are there chances of scars on the external side of nose? Please advise. Thanks,

Septoplasty does not leave any external scar but there are chances that it can regrow after sometimes. In my opinion you should weight for some years as your doctor said.
SUGGESTIONS:
1. Avoid crowded place.
2. Cover your nose if in a crowded place to prevent infections. since when one side of the nose is obstructed by the septal hypertrophy, hypertrophic turbinates, or polyps arising from the nose, the other side of nostrils become roomy and suseptible for infection( cause for rhinitis).
3. Avoid cold drink, cold stuffs as much as possible. Specially in winter.
4. Prevent yourself from allergen like pollen, dust, smoke, grass etc.( cause for allergic rhinitis).
