How Can Diarrhea And Stress Be Treated?

I have had diarrhea for two weeks, which I think has been caused by stress. About two years ago I had a lot of stress in my life and had diarrhea for almost two months, then it ceased.
Is it unusual for stress (Hurricane Irma fears) to cause diarrhea that lasts this long? I am taking loperamide hydrochloride 2mg at least once a day. Is there anything else I should do?
Thank you.
